Creating Your Account

Account Creation Options
PromptScout offers multiple ways to create an account, providing flexibility and convenience:
- Email Registration - Create an account using your email address and a secure password
- Google Sign-in - Use your Google account for quick one-click authentication
- Microsoft Sign-in - Connect with your Microsoft 365 account (available for Enterprise users)
Note for Enterprise Users
If your organization has set up enterprise SSO, you may be automatically directed to your organization's login page. Contact your system administrator for specific login instructions.
Step-by-Step Registration Process
Method 1: Email Registration
- Visit the PromptScout homepage at promptscout.com
- Click the "Sign Up" button in the top-right corner
- Enter your email address in the provided field
- Create a secure password (minimum 8 characters with at least one uppercase letter, one number, and one special character)
- Check the box to agree to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy
- Click "Create Account"
- Check your email for a verification link and click it to confirm your account

Method 2: Google Sign-in
- Visit the PromptScout homepage
- Click the "Sign Up" button
- Click the "Continue with Google" button
- Select your Google account from the popup window
- Review and accept the permissions requested
- You'll be automatically redirected to PromptScout and logged in
Setting Up Your Profile
After creating your account, we recommend completing your profile to enhance your PromptScout experience:
Basic Information
- Display Name - This will be visible to other users if you share prompts publicly
- Profile Picture - Upload an image to personalize your account
- Bio - (Optional) Share a brief description about yourself and your interests
Preferences
Configure your account settings to tailor PromptScout to your needs:
- Default LLM - Select your preferred language model for prompt testing
- Theme - Choose between light and dark mode
- Notification Settings - Configure email notifications for comments, shares, etc.
- Privacy Settings - Control who can see your shared prompts and profile information
Account Security
We recommend setting up these additional security measures to protect your account:
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Enhance your account security by enabling 2FA:
- Go to your Account Settings
- Navigate to the Security tab
- Click "Enable Two-Factor Authentication"
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up authentication using either:
- Authentication app (recommended)
- SMS verification
